6/15/2024 - Fillmore Glenn State Park

I've wanted to take the wife here since I visited before (2022 visit).  The only problem is that I wanted to go on the gorge trail but started on the north rim trail.  She turned around before I did because of her asthma.  I turned around realizing that we didn't have time for me to complete the hike.

5/26/2024 - Mine Kill Falls State Park

Another long ride to see a new waterfall.  Again, no swimming allowed with no enforcement.  At least most of the people here were considerate regarding the photography.  This is a really neat place if you're into hiking.  Round trip from the park to the falls was about 2 miles, and it certainly wasn't flat!  Plan on your feet getting wet as you have to cross the stream.  The best part is that admission is free thanks to the New York Power Authority.  A lot of people which is why these are in portrait rather than landscape.

Site Notes: There are plenty of tables for picnics, a playground for kids, and a huge disc golf course.  The falls are not handicap accessible in any form.

Note: Between this photo and the next, you can see that the water doesn't come straight from the upper cascade to the main falls.  It crashes against the walls of the gorge sending it to the right, then again sending it to the left before coming down toward you.

5/19/2024 - Eagle Cliff Falls

After a relatively long ride, I wasn't disappointed by the falls.  My disappointment came from the people.  There are many signs stating there is no swimming allowed, but no enforcement at all.  And considering it was hot, I get that they are taking advantage the lack of enforcement.  What completely bothered me was that people saw me taking photos but decided to stand right in front of me!  Of all the people there, only 2 or 3 bothered to be considerate.  I will need to go back at some point to see if I can get some better pictures.

Site Notes: The park isn't focused on the falls, it is much more for baseball/softball and picnics.  The creek is accessible (last 2 pictures).
