8/20/2023 - Tinker Falls

Got to another waterfall that I'd never been to before.  It is said to be a little fickle during the summer and I'm assuming I visited during a low flow day.  I'll have to visit it again at some point as I can only imagine it would be even better with a little more water flowing.  If you decide to follow the trail that goes behind the falls, be very careful.  The steps are not very safe with many slanting downward.  Someone going down before I did actually slipped and landed hard.  Not sure if she was hurt or not but she hit hard.

Site Notes: Viewing of the falls is fully accessible, just shy of where I took the first photo.  Nicely maintained trail that would be easy to push a wheelchair if necessary.

8/13/2023 - Carpenter's Falls

Knowing it was a nice day and the walk to Delphi Falls was short, I also went to Carpenter's Falls.  I decided to go to the bottom of the falls to get some better pictures.  I was guessing that there was more water flowing than the last time I went and there was.  Wonderful view!

8/13/2023 - Delphi Falls

Got out for a ride, heard Delphi Falls were open again so I decided to check it out.  The lower walk wasn't open but the new trail to an overview along with a view of the upper falls was open.  The new trail is beautiful but there are a lot of steps!

7/29/2023 - Gillette Castle State Park, Panorama

An extreme panorama.  Marking this as experimental because ACDSee can't handle more than 16000 pixel in a single dimension.  Adobe could handle it, I just want something I own or something free and I'm ending my subscription.  I used Hugin, an open source piece of software that does auto-stitching but also allows you to do it manually if you prefer.  I do need to figure out how to add my signature as editing something this wide isn't possible in ACDSee because of the dimension.

7/29/2023 - Gillette Castle State Park

For our last stop in Connecticut, it was suggest that we check out Gillette Castle State Park.  We both enjoy learning about the stories behind structures such as this.  This place is very interesting as is the history behind it.  If you're in the state, it is completely worth a visit.  I didn't take any pictures inside as flashes were not allowed and it was a bit dark.

7/28/2023 - Eastern Point Beach

 After getting dinner, we decided to find a different place to watch the sunset as the streets surrounding Stonington Point were just too narrow for me to have the desire to venture back.  I certainly can't say we were disappointed at all.  Wonderful evening watching the ferries coming in and out of the port.  Probably would have gotten more pictures, but I wasn't paying attention to the battery level and it died shortly after we arrived.  Luckily, I carry the charger in my bag so was able to get enough of a charge to get more pictures.
