1/28/2023 - Sydney with My New (to me) Canon EF-S 55-250mm

As I was hoping, I've really begun to enjoy taking pictures as well as editing them.  Because of this and some of the photos I've seen in a couple of Facebook groups, I decided I needed a stronger zoom than the kit lens that came with the camera.  Not having tons of money to spend, and at the advice of a friend, I found a reputable seller on Amazon to purchase a used lens from.  I was having difficulty actually getting a picture to be focused not realizing that the lens requires a lot of light.  Sunlight coming in through a window gave me a great opportunity to get my first fully focused picture of my beautiful dog.  I was holding off to post in date order, but decided it doesn't really matter since this is my blog.  😁

8/6/2022 - Carpenter's Falls

I'm always looking for new falls to view in the area.  This popped up and looked like it would be rather nice and not far away.  I'm going to have to go back again at some point because what I saw coming over wasn't even close to the pictures that lead me to pick it.  Not sure why I didn't have the Canon with me, but I'm not sure the pictures would have been all that much better.  With so little water flowing, I didn't want to take the steps down the gorge.

7/30/2022 - Sunset at Lakeside Park

I went up to Oswego considering watching the Harborfest fireworks.  I was there early enough for the show, but there were a lot of very rude people arriving as the sun was setting.  We used to come here because it was empty.  I decided it would be better to leave than to continue to get upset.  At least I got some really nice shots of the sun setting though.

6/29/2022 - Museum of Aviation, SR-71

Once we found out there was more than one building, we rushed over for this single plane.  We found out about the additional building less than 20 minutes before closing.  And they told us they were very precise with closing time since it is an active Air Force Base.  4pm is closing time and they apparently start escorting people off the premises beginning at 4:15pm.  Just a few quick pictures but I'll get more and better ones when I go back.  Again, pictures are from the Pixel 6...

6/29/2022 - Museum of Aviation

While we were in South Carolina visiting, we headed over the Georgia border to Warner Robins.  There is a wonderful museum full of war birds.  Unfortunately, we didn't realize just how big the place is and only made it thoroughly through 1 of the buildings.  It doesn't really bother me much, just means I'll have to make another trip!

I'm not going to add any information surrounding settings as all photos were taken with my Pixel 6 with very few edits.  Hopefully, you will enjoy them...
